Although reluctant at first, Wilson eventually comes to terms with his destiny and takes up the shield. If can, check out SpongeBob: The Musical at IKE before it's too late. It's funny without needing to know any backstory but if you are familiar with the show you'll love the references. If you're a fan of SpongeBob SquarePants and have seen every episode, or at least the first few seasons, you'll recognize many jokes and references. With all those quick costume changes, it's a lot going on for a high school production. This happens to several of the stage performers several times throughout the show. In one scene they're just someone walking by while singing and, the next time you see them, they're in a new costume as someone else. These are the background singers, sometimes the human props and often times they don't have a name in the show because they play so many roles. I have to give it up to the supporting cast. This is still the case but with references and sometimes items being passed between the pit to the stage and vice versa, it's nice to see the people you can't see but are such an integral part of any musical being included. Vintage Retro Analog Alarm Clock, 4 inch Super Silent Non Ticking Small Clock with Night Light, Battery Operated, Simply Design, for Living Room, Bedroom, Bedside, Desk, Gift Clock (Arabic) 4.3 out of 5 stars. Often times you'll hear the band, but not often see them. The creative use of the orchestra pit makes them involved. From beach balls being used as boulders and Gary, SpongeBob's pet snail, riding in on a skateboard made it fun to see what they'd do next. The creative use of props is, in a lot of ways, genius. Running around on stage and jumping all around while dancing and singing can't be easy for anyone. everyone did amazing, but the who played SpongeBob was all high-octane energy the entire performance. I mean, to be fair, everyone did amazing.
If you currently already own one of the iPads required with an M1 or M2 processor which can run it, far be it from us not to encourage you to at least check it out. Still, we really can’t knock the price point of just $4.99 a month or $49 for a yearly subscription. I don’t think anyone truly thought an iPad FCP would be their be-all-end-all for video editing off the bat, but this is further away from functional than I think most reviewers thought it’d be here at launch. Lack of full roundtrip support, no ability to edit off of an external drive, and no third-party plugins at release really knock this iPad FCP down to passing fancy than anything more serious at this point, and-well-that’s kind of disappointing. Its best use case for any seasoned video pro would be as a fun tool to try out and maybe start editing a project, but ultimately meant to be transferred to and finished on a Mac on your desktop or laptop. Ultimately though, and as you can hear from Matti Haapoja in the final thoughts from his in-depth review as well, the consensus early on seems to be that the iPad version of Final Cut Pro is fun to use and offers plenty of exciting possibilities but it’s doesn’t seem to be designed for higher-end video editing at this point. Start a Project on iPad, Finish it on Mac Even with some features like the Scene Removal Mask being a bit buggy right now, the fact that Apple is leaning into smart tools and AI-powered features to help creators streamline their edits might be the saving grace behind this iPad FCP which could help amateur editors never really need to move over to a more powerful device or app. With Live Drawing in particular, Apple has created a very unique tool that would be hard to replicate using Final Cut Pro (or Premiere Pro, for that matter) on your laptop or desktop. However, if you’re a content creator and editor like Jenna Ezarik, who gives her review in the video above, there might be enough intuitive design to this iPad workflow that makes everything worth it. We’ve already covered a bit of the pros and cons of trying to edit not with a keyboard and mouse but with your fingers and an Apple Pencil, but this debate is going to be endless and is probably at the heart of anyone’s favor or disfavor of this iPad FCP. And worse yet, there’s no full roundtrip support, so if you start a project on your Mac FCP you can’t move it to the iPad - it’s only one way at this point. Everything you want to touch with the iPad FCP must be uploaded to your iPad, which - no surprise - doesn’t have a lot of storage. The most damning thing might simply be that you can’t edit footage from an external hard drive like you can for most Mac or PC editing apps. In particular, despite its relatively affordable price point ($5 per month is really not that bad of a deal regardless of its limitations), the iPad Final Cut Pro is just lacking in terms of expected and advanced features like buggy mask removal tools, non-linear keyframe movements and limited LUTs and battery life. We can get into some of the pros below, along with how the iPad FCP might be for a different group of creators, but from the perspective of a seasoned video editor looking for specific things for a productive video editing workflow, the iPad FCP falls short in many areas. And, to put it nicely, they’re not over the moon about this new FCP version. Probably the loudest and most important, early hands-on review of the iPad Final Cut Pro comes from the team at The Verge. Still Rendering and Missing Some Key Features Let’s explore some of these reviews and share some of our findings as well to see if the iPad Final Cut Pro might be of any serious interest to the professional video editing world or if it is truly missing the mark. Based on some of the earliest reviews, the results are… mixed at best. With the first reviews of the iPad FCP up online now, we’ve been curious to keep tabs on how people are reacting. Or if it’s simply going to be an upgraded version of iMovie for hobbyists and casual content creators. But, that being said, there’s always been a question as to whether this app is even truly meant for professional video editors at all. However, as the first hands-on reviews of the new iPad version of Final Cut Pro are rolling in, Apple is looking more like Tom and Greg from Succession making an omelet than any high-end TV chef.Īs we’ve covered since its launch, there’s so, so much to be excited about with the new iPad Final Cut Pro. In the past, Apple has cracked these eggs with flair and turned them into souffle like they’re Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen. If you want to revolutionize an entire industry (in this case, non-linear editing), you gotta crack a few eggs. 2/26/2024 0 Comments Lantern naperville ilBeloved father of Madelyn, Hope, and Ashton Feldott. But as you can see, it describes an issue whereby that system won’t output video over USB-C even to Dell’s own USB-C displays. Dell frustratingly never went back and updated that article. I know the article only mentions the XPS 13 9350, but after it was published, multiple users confirmed the exact same behavior on the and its sister system the Precision 5510. The first is that this may be related to the issue described here. And in your case, the already has a built-in HDMI output, so you could always connect one display to the mini-dock and a second one to the system’s own built-in HDMI I can think of two possibilities here. I don’t have personal experience with a mini-dock that supports multiple displays since I’ve never needed that capability on the road. In terms of alternative “mini-dock” adapters, I have this one myself, but it doesn’t support multiple displays. Dell did something proprietary with some of their docks and systems to run 130W, but that wouldn’t be available using something like the USB PD passthrough port on your adapter. But both of those docks would be able to provide the full 130W to your system, which wouldn’t be possible through other products because 130W exceeds the 100W max of the formal USB PD spec. The WD19TB also allows you to connect a Thunderbolt peripheral to the dock, which could be handy if you ever had some other Thunderbolt peripheral because the only has one USB-C/TB3 port, so if you got the regular WD19, you wouldn’t have a way to connect a Thunderbolt peripheral simultaneously. By comparison, the WD19TB would be able to run dual displays up to 4K 60 Hz each or triple displays up to QHD each. When paired with the XPS 15 9550, the WD19 would be able to run dual displays up to 1920x1200 each or a single QHD display (or 4K but only 30 Hz). The main difference is the display setups you can run with each. The former is a regular USB-C dock and the latter is a Thunderbolt 3 dock. In terms of docking stations, the two docking stations you’d want to consider with an are the Dell WD19 180W w/ 130W PD passthrough (not the 130W version w/ 90W passthrough) and the Dell WD19TB (come standard as 180W w/ 130W passthrough). If not, then you might still have the issue I mentioned that’s discussed in that Dell article I linked. So if your display has a DisplayPort input, then try the DisplayPort output on your adapter to see if that makes a difference. The reason HDMI seems to be more of an issue is that as I said, USB-C ports provide video via DisplayPort, and therefore using HDM requires an active signal converter chip to be involved. 2/26/2024 0 Comments IReal Pro for mac instalThe Fakebook app can show all the songs from iReal Pro (including the huge forum library) but it also allows import of PDFs, lyrics sheets or images and combines them all in playlists. These should really be included.) If you can afford it, consider combining iReal Pro with Fakebook. (Though, I have to question the in-app-purchases. Quite expensive, but not unreasonable given the advanced play-along engine. The developers are also active on the forum as well as on the app's Facebook page.Įxcellent for private practice, but depending on your needs it might not be the right choice for your gigs. As this is a very popular app there is a large community on the iReal Pro forum, which not only contributes with new songs but also quickly answers most questions. No AirTurn or PageFlip support on Android! (Unfortunately it is obvious that this app originates from the iOS, it definitely feels more at home on an iPad than on a modern Nexus tablet.)Ĭustomer service is excellent. Add a Bluetooth pedal to turn pages even quicker - but for some strange reason this works only on iOS. Do I need to buy 2 license or can I install on both. Question, I have an imac in the studio for practise and a macbook I use for gigs. Or not.Ĭreating and editing playlists is easy, as is swiping from one song to the next. I just purchase ireal for android before realising there is a version for macs. Strangely, this restriction is enforced also on tablet and in landscape mode so visually iReal Pro is really a case of one size fits all. Chords are written in a sans serif font (not configurable) which is usually easy to read, but the app has a "four bars per line" convention and "single full screen" limitation that means some songs get very crowded. Tap once to show the action bar and playback controls. The iReal Pro main screen is nice and clean, with the chord chart filling the screen except for the status bar (which is always visible). (Or maybe something in addition please read on.) There is no support for melodies, lyrics or freehand annotations - so if you need a flexible gig companion rather than a fellow student, start looking for something else. And worse, only fixed formatted chords can be used. This means that, though there are thousands and thousands of tunes available for download from the iReal Pro forum (not only jazz standards), if you are playing originals or other songs you are forced to buy also the Mac OSX application or try to input the chords via the rather awkward built-in editor. The app has some serious limitations, e.g.only a closed proprietary file format is supported. That being said, iReal Pro is not for everyone. Actually, some users claim they even use the iReal Pro accompaniment playing live! All charts chord sequences can be "auto-played", similarly to Band-in-a-Box or Garageband, which is a great practice tool for instrumentalists or vocalists. Most important is the play-along mode, which really puts iReal Pro in a class of its own and is the feature most users refer to as the reason for getting the app. Similarly, when you install it from the App Store, you can install the application on your iPhone & iPad & iPod.Excellent for private practice, but depending on your needs it might not be the right choice for your gigs.įirst and foremost, this is a great app! There is no surprise that iReal Pro (and the previous incarnations iReal Book and iReal b) has been in the top lists of both the Apple App Store and Google Play for a long time, because it has some really unique features. If you purchase iReal Pro from the Google Play Store, you can install the application on your Android phone and Android tablet. When organizing a song, you can change its rhythmic signature, enter repetitions, create sections and mark them as intro or verse. Simply drag the editor and enter the chords you like into the graphics area. In addition, iReal Pro offers an editor for you to create your own songs. And on the far right are the chords and arrangement of the selected song. Just on the right you will find all the songs you have chosen, which are now made up into a list of songs in the library. On the left side of the window is the "Library" pane where you can choose your favourite songs from a complete playlist. The application is presented in a simple and welcoming interface. I don't understand how you can have fun with such an old game where making your own choices and creating your own path and identity was the original draw, yet everyone today just follows a guide for pretty much everything and anything in the game and generally look to minimize time playing the game. I agree that it is subjective, but it fascinates me that being a meta slave is what's fun for 99% of people nowadays.
